::Back in New England::

Julia and I just got home from a weekend in New England....visiting with friends, eating, thrift-storing, and splashing around in the ocean!
There is nothing quite like being back where you grew up, is there?

We even found time to go to Old Mystic Village!

Julia.

A very proud uncle, and his cute lil' niece!

Visiting.

After we got back home, the little ladies convinced Julia and I to camp out in the back field with them.

...of course we built a fire and had to make s'mores!
:::::
Things are still busy here, and very hot. We are still in great need of rain, and it sounds like we will not be getting any anytime soon.

The garden as beginning to turn very brown, and the only thing that seems to like the lack of rain is the peppers!

This weekend looks as though it will be busy. The farm that Julia works at is having an open house/picnic, and we are planning on going there in the afternoon.
Wesley and Claire have plans for the weekend, so we get to watch the wee ones again {which means there is great excitement around our place~all the wee ones have so much fun together}.

"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."I've been reading a lot of this blog lately....just random posts, here and there, so encouraging.

And, I just watched this film~so lovely, everything about it.

And, lastly, two random photos I found, I really wouldn't mind living here!

  1. Rosie.Glad you had a wonderful time. as you know so well New England is a wonderful place. You must miss it from time to time. I love Mystic Village. I live an hour from there, northwest of the river and it has been quite awhile since I have been there. Maybe this summer I will get there with my kids and husband.There is really a lot to do in this state.
    The camping looked fun too. We did that in our back yard two years ago when we couldn't really go to the campgrounds.We did good,except my husband ended back in the house in the middle of the night. LOL. next time we go to the campgrounds.Like always love reading your blog.
    Take care,
    Jean

  7. You looked like you were having so much fun!

    Last year we did not have rain for four months and months of 100 plus weather so I understand the need for rain. Hopefully, it will come soon.

  9. We're having a very hot summer here too. Of course, in Israel we're not supposed to get any rain at least 'til October, which is still a far way away! I must water every plant that needs watering, and make sure the chooks have access to clean water at all times as well.

    It looks like you had a fun vacation!!
