~::Summer Sewing

This past Saturday I felt like sewing something.

So, I made this shirt.

The only thing about it that disappointed me was that I that I didn't use a pattern~thus I cannot duplicate it.

Many thanks to Joe for his great photography skills!

  1. Wow, you are so talented. I've used a pattern before and my skirt didn't look like a skirt.

    You don't use a pattern and your blouse looks GORGEOUS. Sigh... life isn't fair. ;)

  4. It's lovely. A few of my girls and I will be learning to sew in the next few weeks. I'm feeling quite intimidated, but excited at the same time. I'm really not sure how I will fit it into my day...I'm expecting number 10 in November! Maybe I'll have to spend a wee bit less time looking at your blog! :) You just whipped up a shirt without a pattern-Wow! I like the matching head band, which I probably could tackle soon. I think we will begin with napkins. Actually, I think we will start by drawing lines and squiggles on paper and following the patterns on our machine. Now, I only have to hope that the used Bernette 46 I bought arrives in good condition.
    Have a lovely day. Tell your mama I am praying for her.
    Blessings,
    Laura

  9. you could gently take the top apart , make a pattern then resew your top back together again. I know it is work , but at least you'd have a pattern.
