:: The Dog Days of Summer......

Hello to you all.
I know that my posting has been rather random of late, but that is due to all the busy days here in Wesleytown.
I have lots of pictures for you to see the happenings though, so you are not left out :)
Here they are.....

The lovely, hot, month of August.

~:~:~:~:~:~

~From The Garden, To The Kitchen~

Green beans, picked by the littles, ready for freezing.

Fish, that a friend of ours kindly caught and gave to us.

Potatoes, freshly dug, on their way to the dinner table.

We had to wash them well first.

Quiche all ready to cook ( quiche makes such a nice summer meal, and takes so little time to cook- we love it cold too ).

Bread, fresh from the oven, made by Julia.

A table full of garden harvest.

Around The Homestead.

Sewing projects.

Nicholai, all dressed up as a "Bull Fighter".

Celeisa, riding her trike.

Shooting beebe guns.

A little wanderer, that we found in out in the yard, with no home.

He seems to have gotten into some sort of cat fight, but we hope it will heal up ( we consulted Rudy, our animal "specialist", and that's what he said ).

He's getting lots of love, food, attention and has been christened with the name Tip.

And a picture of James' new vehicle, bought just for Abbie.
What do you think Abbie?

The front.

This looks like a place in Europe, doesn't it ?

And I leave you, with the ever-present-laundry-on-the-line-picture :)

  1. Ah yes, lovely August! I have made your quiche recipe many times, and it is so good. There is usually never a bite left, so I've not had it cold. I need to do some bread baking today myself....

  2. Ah, August. Summer's last hurrah! The locusts are buzzing nearly all day here now. Our heat has been so bad, tho, I am ready for summer to be done. LOL at the bullfighter. The trout look delicious, as does everything else. I love your quiche recipe and have shared it with several others. Our favorite is taco made with taco-seasoned hamburger, tomato, olives, onion, peppers, cheddar cheese and served with salsa. Another favorite is ham, spinach, red pepper, onion and a blend of swiss and monterey jack. Liking the new vehicle james bought for Abbie. Much love to everyone - Raquel XO
