~Sewing~

I have been feeling inspired to sew " a little something" after watching some period films lately, and here is the result.....

A new gown out of "cottage brown linen" ( and yes, that really was the name of the fabric :))

Gathers in the front.

I love how the back turned out.

And pleats in the the skirt hem.

..

Many thanks to Julia for being my photographer.

  1. Hello Rosie, My name is Rose and I am a SAHM homeschooling my daughters. My oldest one is 15years old and was wondering if you would do a post on being a stay at home daughter. My daughter also plans not to attend college but had some questions to ask. We give her an allowance but I think she is concerned about going out part time to babysit and other things. I see all you do on your farm. It is beautiful the way you sew. She was also wondering if you plan on starting up an Etsy Shop. She loves your Jane Austen style dress and Maid Marion dress. She also sews. Feel free to e-mail her at rfm12345@gmail.com~any advice on the duties of a SAHD would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless, Rose and daughter, Mary.
